The Night Guest

One day a person that admitted to be very pious came to Akshehir, the town where Nasreddin lived in. He tried to find Nasreddin's house. After getting information, he came to Nasreddin's house and knocked at the door.
"Who's that?" said Nasreddin.
He didn't open the door but only looked out through the window.
"Who's that?" said Nasreddin again.
"It's me," answered the guest.
"I see, but what's your name?" he tried to find out the guest's name.
But the guest did not mention his name and replied, "I'm a guest, Nasreddin."
Nasreddin was a little angry and finally he said, "Wait a minute."
Nasreddin put on his cloak and shoes. Then he got out from his house. He asked his guest once again, "Who are you? Why do you wake me up?"
"I'm God's son-in-law," answered the guest with a proud smile.
Nasreddin was surprised with the answer. Then he said, "What can I do for you?"
"I want to spend this night here," said the guest.
"Follow me," said Nasreddin to the man.
Nasreddin walked away from his house and the guest walked behind him. When they arrived at a mosque, Nasreddin said, "Brother, come in. This is your father-in-law's house."
