Don't Be Too Deep

One day Nasreddin wanted to sell his land. He had met the buyer. So, he went to a lawyer to ask for his help to make a document for the transaction. The lawyer always said that he had no time to handle Nasreddin's case. Nasreddin had seen him many times, but his answers were the same. At last, Nasreddin concluded that he had to bribe the lawyer as others did.
It made Nasreddin angry, actually, because he was a poor man himself. But Nasreddin had to sell the land soon. So, he could not wait any longer.
Thinking for a while, Nasreddin went to the market and bought a jar. At home he filled the jar with a lot of donkey hung. At the surface he put a thin layer of butter. Then he brought the jar to the lawyer's house.
"Sir, this is a little gift for you," said Nasreddin.
The lawyer was very glad. And when Nasreddin reminded him of the document, he made and signed it soon. In 10 minutes everything was right. He gave it to Nasreddin.
Nasreddin said, "Sir, I know that it's unfair to give you very cheap butter for this document and signature. I am..."
"That's all right," he said with a light smile, "Don't think it to deep. I'm pleased to accept it."
Then the lawyer pushed his forefinger slightly into the butter and tasted it. It seemed delicious.
"You're right, Sir," said Nasreddin, "As you tell me, I'll also tell you that don't push the butter too deep."
